Fund Development Manager

A former financial adviser, Ash moved into investment management in 2015 and is now Head of Managed Portfolio Services at 8AM Global, alongside his fund and broader product development role with IDAD. He has since overseen the design, construction, management, operation and distribution of a broad range of investment solutions, including more than 30 managed portfolios made available through over 20 adviser platforms.

Ash’s expertise sits at the intersection of investment design, portfolio construction, operational delivery and distribution. He has a particular focus on developing scalable and transparent managed portfolio propositions that combine robust investment governance with practical implementation for financial advisers and their clients.

His work includes quantitative fund selection, data-led portfolio monitoring and risk management, platform implementation, product governance, and the development of tailored and co-manufactured investment solutions for advisory businesses. Drawing on his previous experience as an adviser, Ash brings a practical understanding of how investment products must operate in the real world and how they can be structured to deliver clear, appropriate and demonstrable client outcomes.

Ash is also a regular contributor to investment commentary, industry publications, podcasts and professional webinars, speaking on portfolio construction, investment committees, Consumer Duty, retirement risk and the continuing evolution of managed portfolio services.
